
Shirin Mandani
Shirin is CEO of GrantX Inc. Shirin brings over 20+ years of leadership experience in not-for-profit management. Having worked as an Executive Director and CEO of various organizations, she has brought organization and resource development for many agencies in Canada and Internationally.
She has a Masters’ degree in Public Policy Administration and Law from York University, Masters’ degree in Educational Leadership from Mumbai University, India, and a Post-Degree Diploma in Not-for-Profit Management from University of Western Ontario. She did her Bachelors in Special Education (B.Ed.) from S.N.D.T University, Mumbai India and Bachelors in Commerce (B.Com) from Kakatiya University, India. She also received her training in Governance and Leadership from Kellogg Schulich School of Business.
Shirin voluntary work includes President of Saffron Hub. She sat on many boards including Arab Community Center of Toronto, Artists, and Artisans and on Diversity and Inclusion and International Development committee of Association of Fundraising Professionals. She has served two terms as Board of Directors for the Aga Khan Education Services, in India, playing an active role in enhancement of primary education programs funded by the European Union and World Bank.
She was instrumental in setting up social enterprises for women with disabilities in Andhra Pradesh, India and for immigrant women in Scarborough, Ontario and initiated community-based action research on elder abuse in South Asian communities in partnership with University of Ontario- Institute of Technology.
